Certainteed Weatherboards and James Hardie Siding
Fiber-cement siding is the fastest growing segment of the siding market, with close to 1 in 5 homes expected to have fiber-cement siding by 2007. Fiber-cement is made from all natural raw materials including cellulose fiber, sand and Portland cement.
It is a strong and durable product that carries a 50-year warranty. Fiber-cement retains paint extremely well, approximately 3 times longer than wood. It is also available pre-finished in a variety of colors. It comes in many patterns, including shingles and clapboard styles. It is non-combustible and will not rot, warp, buckle, shrink, or expand.
Fiber Cement Siding is available in a number of profiles to meet your homes exterior design. Depending on the design there are two popular brands available: Certainteed Fiber Cement Weatherboards siding and Hardiplank siding.
